How does it work?

Between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., simply open the front door, unbutton the pop-up can we provided, and place your tied up bag into the container.
An Exceeding Expectations valet team member will makes rounds Sunday through Thursday and transfer your trash to a collection container.
From there, the valet team member transport your trash to the community dumpster, dispose of it, and tidy the common areas sounding the dumpsters.

When does service start?

Valet team members collect trash Sunday through Thursday between the hours of 8:00pm until 4:00am.

Do you bill our residents directly?

Our contracts are made with the apartment companies so they are billed monthly.

What's permitted to be placed in the pop-up can?

Almost anything that fits in the bag and weighs less than 25 pounds may be disposed of through our valet trash service. For the safety of our valet team members, please do not place broken glass, jagged edges, or loose sharps in your bags, as these items may puncture the bags and create a safety hazard. We also ask that you to refrain from disposing any items that are prohibited by state or local regulations. In many areas, the disposal of motor oil, paint, or hazardous chemicals, and other hazardous liquids is restricted or prohibited by law.

Why wasn’t my trash collected?

There could be a few reasons.

Trash was placed out after designated collection time 8:00 p.m. Valets team members begin collection service at 8:00 p.m., so if your trash wasn’t in the container by then, the resident could have missed collection for that day.
Too many bags. Although we make every effort to pick up all your trash, if an unusually large amount of bags placed out for collection, valets may only be able to remove one or two at a time for each residents. Any remaining bags will be collected during the next scheduled night.
For the safety of our valets, bags should weigh no more than 25 pounds. If your trash is heavier than this, please divide it among two bags to ensure the 25 pound limit isn't exceeded.
All trash must be securely bagged and tied before collected. Loose waste cannot be collected or transported to the dumpster by team members, as it may create sanitation and safety concerns.
To ensure safe and effective collection, all boxes must be flattened before being placed for pickup. This includes pizza boxes and any other cardboard boxes. Flatten them completely, tape them together, and leave them behind your can container for collection. As with trash, we ask that you keep the boxes under 25 pounds.
Trash was not in the container. Our job is to keep your community clean and tidy, so with the exception of flattened, bundled boxes, all trash needs to be in the container and we instructed our team members not to remove any bags that aren't placed in the containers provided to you. We understand that not all trash will fit in the container with the lid shut, so if you have more than one bag, you may stack it atop the other bag(s) inside the container. Just keep the lid open if your unable to zip close. This should be the only reason you can is not closed properly.
If personal items are left on top of the container. Valet team members will remove your belongings empty the container and place your belonging back on top. If this becomes a reoccurring thing the valet will leave a warning notification on your door after the first time, if it happens again the valet team member will be instructed not to empty that container and the leasing office will be notified.

What size bags can you use?

As long as it’s securely tied, doesn’t leak, and fits inside the container, your bag can be as large or small as it needs to be. If you have too much trash for one bag to fit in the container, divide it among two or more bags. We understand that not all trash will fit in the container with the lid shut, so if you have more than one bag, you may stack it atop the other bag(s) inside the container. Just keep the lid open and remember bags need to be under 25 pounds.

What do I do with boxes?

If you want to dispose of your pizza boxes – or any other boxes, for that matter – we ask that you flatten them completely and leave them behind the storage container. If you have multiple boxes, please flatten, secure the bundle with tape, and place behind your can. Do not exceed 25 pounds.

Do you collect big items like appliances, furniture, etc.?

No, unfortunately, we cannot dispose of large items like this. For anything besides bagged waste and flattened boxes, you will need to depose of them we recommend that you contact your community manager or municipal trash collection service.

I have a lot of trash. How many bags can I put in the container?

You can stack as many as will fit inside the container. If necessary, you could split your trash pick-up over two or more days. We understand that not all trash will fit in the container with the lid shut, so if you have more than one bag, you may stack it atop the other bag(s) inside the container, Just keep the lid open. This should be the only time your can is left open

Why did I get a violation?

A violation notice will be placed on the residents door for the following reasons. Violations for leaking trash, bags not properly secured. bags containing motor oil, sharp items that could injury the valet team members, etc.

Why am I getting a fine?

After the third violations in 6 month residents are subjected to getting fined by the apartment complex community. Exceeding Expectation do not fine the residents.

Cost to replace the collapsible trash containers

The first container is free if another is needed before 3 years the resident must pay 29.95 for a new one.
